How cool is this? I love the new gingerbread tradition that is accompanying the annual trees around the world exhibit. This year Le Cordon Bleu students created a tasty rendition of WHOville … so with over 600 pounds of sugar we now know why WHOville is so sweet!

If you click on these full village views you will get a larger image.

I loved the bakery …

The 70 year old tradition of the trees around the world at the Museum of Science & Industry Chicago has always included an amazing huge wondrous central tree in the rotunda. Coinciding with the Dr Suess exhibition they created a magical tree straight from WHOville. PS the Dr Suess exhibition is very worth your time amazing sketches, drawings, paintings and sculptures. If you thought you really knew Dr Seuss .. think again!

Now you don’t quite see it all here there is a bit more happening up top if you really looked ….

some lucky WHO will be happy with what is waiting under the tree …

some ornamental close ups …

Part of the 70th anniversary celebration of the trees around the world exhibit at the MSI included a very historically themed US tree decorated by the DAR this year. It held special “egg” ornaments representing each state. Each of these were dedicated to a proven Patriot from the DAR archives. This was a special thing to see now that Amy & I are active DAR members. Thanks to those wonderful ladies for creating something so patriotic and beautiful to share with the city!
