How to Make Time Fly
Jul 22nd, 2009 by Jenn
Another project along the Arternity path. This is to all tied to that old adage Love what you do and Do what you love! Hence the heart being the main shape of the “clock”. The heart is made from two layers of handmade paper. The inner pink heart having wonderful thread inclusions. The wings from a great gold marbled handmade paper I love. The wings remind one not only how time flies when in love, but also how uplifting life can be when you connect with your purpose.
The ways to make time fly, for me, are through imagination, dreaming, playing and creating. So they adorn the clock face. I tried out some new stuff to create your own rub-ons for these and will be playing more with that for smaller pieces. I attached the clock hands with a heart shaped brad, affixed it all to a stiff support so it can hang.
It will adorn the walls of the studio that is slowly taking shape in the backroom. It does bring a smile and reminds me laughter each day can only be good for me.
Nice piece. I’m enjoying looking at your site. Thanks for mentioning Arternity – looks like something I want to check out.
It is a wonderful program that works with both your left and right brain to help you discover and change your relationship and attitudes about time. Artella itself is a wonderful space filled with really nice folks.
